A meeting to explore the feasibility of holding a Summit in Hawaii was held in Honolulu in October 2008. A second meeting was held in September 2009. Interest was expressed in forming a Summit Planning Group to bring the 60 SUmmits initiative to Hawaii, and discussions are continuing about Hawaii's participation.
